Firefighters made quick work of a gazebo fire Saturday night after they were called out to what was originally reported as a house fire on Old Petty Harbour Road in St. John’s.
The St. John’s Regional Fire Department received multiple calls about the blaze just before 10 p.m., spotted smoke and flame coming from the rear of the home when they arrived and eventually found a gazebo engulfed in flames in the back yard.
They quickly laid an attack line and doused the fire but not before the structure was destroyed.
There were no injuries and the incident is under investigation.
