ST. JOHN'S — A person has died due to COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Details are limited, but reports suggest that a person in the Eastern Health service region has succumbed to the disease in the time since yesterday's media availability with government officials, during which it was announced that seven people had been hospitalized, two of whom were in intensive care.
