Less than 24 hours after she was released from custody on Aug 2, Nicole McKinnon was arrested again for breaching the conditions of a recognizance.
McKinnon, 31, is the former executive director of the Corner Brook Downtown Business Association.
According to a press release from the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, McKinnon was arrested at 2:38 a.m. on Aug. 3 on two counts of breaching the recognizance that was put in place the day before. She’s charged with failing to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and with being outside her residence after her 11 p.m. curfew.

Those conditions were put in place following her arrest last week on another breach of a court order and three counts of theft. One of those alleged thefts was only sworn before the court on Aug. 2. The charge alleges she stole merchandise from Wal-Mart.
Those charges are separate from 15 others that allege she defrauded the Corner Brook Downtown Business Association of nearly $64,000 between April and October 2018.
She’s also charged with break, enter and theft from the association office, possession of stolen property, a single count of fraud against an individual and fraudulent use of a personal credit card.
When she appeared in Corner Brook Provincial Court on Monday, Aug. 5, she was remanded in custody until Aug. 12 for a possible speedy disposition of her latest charges.
All the other charges have been set for Aug. 20.
