According to a police report, the first to be arrested was wanted on an outstanding warrant for arrest. Royal Newfoundland Constabulary was called about that theft at 11:30 a.m. A 42-year-old man was charged with theft under $5,000 and held in custody overnight.
Fifteen minutes later, officers responded to another report of theft. The 36-year-old woman accused of theft was also wanted on outstanding warrants of arrest. She was charged with possession of property obtained by crime and taken into custody overnight.
Those two accused are both expected to make court appearances Thursday morning.
Later, at 5:40 p.m., loss prevention officers apprehended two 18-year-old females at the mall. They are both charged with theft under $5,000. They were released from custody, and will face the charges in court at a later date.
