RNC street patrol officer Const. Mike Hollett had to brave the elements and protect his face from the cold wind Monday as he kept traffic flowing as other first responders tended to a two-vehicle traffic accident at the intersection of Topsail Road and Carlisle Drive in Paradise.

West-northwesterly winds created a wind chill factor of -18 C on Monday.
