GRAND BANK, N.L.

For Grand Bank trio Skidderpup a performance during the Live at Heart Global Music Business Conference has landed them a gig at the world’s largest music festival.

Chad Grandy, guitarist and vocalist, said their performance on Oct. 10 was a life-changing experience for the band.

The trio was approached by David Silbaugh, talent buyer for Summerfest, who offered them a slot in the 11-day music festival in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

“Being invited to Summerfest is an absolute dream come true,” Grandy told The Southern Gazette. “We are beyond grateful for this amazing opportunity.”

Dubbed the “World’s Largest Music Festival” the Summerfest event books over 800 artists in nearly all genres, the festival features international headlining acts, such as James Taylor, Bonnie Raitt, Florida Georgia Line and Journey.

The festival also showcases emerging artists, past artists featured include X Ambassadors, Walk the Moon, and The Magnettes.

The dates for Summerfest 2019 have not yet been announced.
