GRAND BANK, NL – The Burin Peninsula RCMP seized a number of stolen items after searching a home in Grand Bank on Thursday, March 15.
Firearms, swords and knives were among the items recovered, according to a police news release, which also indicated the search was part of an ongoing investigation into a complaint of mischief.
Winston Baker, 39, a resident of Grand Bank, has been charged with mischief, five counts of careless use of a firearm, tampering with a vehicle identification number, possession of property obtained by crime and breach of recognizance as a result.
Baker appeared in Grand Bank Provincial Court on Friday and was remanded into custody until a bail hearing today, March 20.
