Happy Valley-Goose Bay man charged with attempted murder

HAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY, N.L. — Michael Lidd, 31, was charged with attempted murder at provincial court in Happy Valley-Goose Bay this afternoon, May 17.

The charge comes after Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP received a report on May 10 of a 29-year-old man recovering in hospital from a knife wound that required immediate medical attention.

Labrador General Investigation Section, Forensic Identification Services and Police Dog Services were all involved in the investigation into the incident.

Lidd, who is from Happy Valley-Goose Bay, was held in custody following his court appearance today. He will be back in court again on Tuesday, May 21.
