A 34-year-old Corner Brook man who assaulted a woman during a disturbance at a home on Crestview Avenue on Saturday will appear in provincial court Tuesday for a hearing on a charge he breached his conditional sentence order.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary was called to the home on Corner Brook’s west side at 2:30 a.m. Brendon Adams fled the home when police arrived and was arrested on O’Connell Drive.
A 22-year-old woman sustained minor injuries during the disturbance.
Adams was charged with assault, mischief to property and breach of a conditional sentence order.
The 15-month sentence was imposed in provincial court here in September 2018.
The breach alleges that Adams was outside his residence without permission and arrested on other Criminal Code of Canada charges.
A hearing on that charge was set when Adams appeared in court on Monday morning.
The charges stemming from the disturbance have been set for a status report at the same time.
Adams remains in custody.
