A huge United States Air Force C-17A Globemaster made an emergency landing at St. John’s airport early Saturday morning.
The St. John’s Regional fire department, Eastern Health paramedics and the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary were called to the airport at about 3:15 a.m. to assist airport firefighters on scene but the plane landed without incident.
No information is available as to the nature of the emergency or where the military aircraft was headed.
