St. John’s, N.L. — The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary was called to an incident of trespassing in a downtown residential area around 7:30 Friday evening.
When police arrived they found a 48-year-old man outside a residence. He was under the influence of alcohol.
When the members checked it was determined that the man was on a court order not to possess or consume alcohol.
He was arrested and searched. Police found he was carrying one can and one bottle of beer on his person.
He was held for court this morning.
