Labrador RNC officers stop vehicle traveling 75km/h over speed limit

CHURCHILL FALLS, N.L. — A 21-year-old man in Labrador is without his vehicle or driving privileges today after getting caught driving at 155 km/h in an 80km/h zone on the Trans-Labrador Highway Thursday evening.

Royal Newfoundland Constabulary officers spotted the vehicle just east of Churchill Falls.

The man’s vehicle was impounded, his license suspended, and he was charged with speeding 51km/h over the speed limit under the Highway Traffic Act.
