The province’s Liberal party has opened nominations for the Topsail-Paradise by-election.
The nomination window closes at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15. Thursday is also the cutoff date for those seeking to become members of the party.
In the event more than one person files papers seeking to represent the party, a nomination meeting is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 15 from 4-8 p.m. at 1478 Topsail Road in Paradise.
The seat was left vacant when former Progressive Conservative leader Paul Davis announced his retirement from political life in October. To date, the byelection hasn’t been called.
