A single-vehicle collision on Portugal Cove Road in St. John’s early Saturday morning toppled a light pole but there were no serious injuries.
The crash happened just after midnight in the eastbound lane near St. John’s International airport and left the car in the ditch and the light pole lying in an oncoming traffic lane.
The male driver was the only person in the car.
The RNC is investigating.
