A man and his pet dog have been displaced after an apartment fire in Paradise early Monday morning.
The fire was reported just before 4 a.m. Monday morning and when firefighters arrived on scene, smoke was coming from the home. They quickly deployed attack lines and began fighting the fire which was located in the downstairs.
One officer was spotted carrying the tenant’s dog from the rear of the home to a police vehicle.
The apartment suffered extensive fire, smoke and water damaged while the upstairs unit appeared relatively un harmed.
