FORTUNE, N.L. — Terrence Connors has been charged with two counts of arson in connection with a pair of fires in Fortune on Sunday, Feb. 28.
The 37-year-old, who appeared before a judge by teleconference on Monday, is also facing a break and enter charge and three counts of breach of an undertaking.
According to an RCMP news release, police received a report just after 4:30 p.m. on Sunday that Connors was breaking the conditions of his court order by being at a residence in Fortune.
While on their way to investigate, further information came in that he had set fire to the home and another nearby dwelling, both located on Bunkers Hill Road.
According to the release, one of the homes was damaged extensively, while damage to the other was minor due to the quick response by a neighbour who was able to put out the flames.
Connors was found at the scene and taken into custody.
No one was in either of the homes at the time of the fires.
