A 32-year-old man is scheduled to appear in court Sunday morning facing multiple charges after an alleged assault in Mount Pearl shortly before 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
According to a Royal Newfoundland Constabulary report, police responded to a report of assault, and after investigating, arrested and charged the man with assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, three counts of uttering threats, theft under $5,000, assault by choking and property damage.
Police say there were no serious injuries.
