According to a police report, Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) officers responded to a hit and run collision in the west end of St. John’s shortly before 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
Police investigated, and a short time later, arrested a 46-year-old man. Among his charges are impaired driving, resisting arrest and failing to stop at the scene of the accident.
He was released to appear in court at a later date, and his vehicle was impounded.
