According to a police report, Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) officers responded to a call of a theft from a business in the east end of St. John’s shortly before 5 p.m. Saturday.
The report says the suspect was gone by the time police arrived.
A short while later, a second call came in for another theft from a business in the east end.
The report says police identified and located a 34-year-old man. They charged him with two counts of theft under $5,000 and breach of court order and probation. He was held for court in the morning.
