Man in custody after Sunday morning car rollover in Mount Pearl

One man is in police custody Sunday morning after the car he was driving rolled over, moving a large concrete-based stop sign several feet from its location in the process.

One man is in police custody Sunday morning after the car he was driving rolled over, moving this large concrete-based stop sign several feet.

The collision happened just after 6 a.m. at the intersection of Blackmarsh Road and Topsail Road, leaving the car extensively damaged but resting on its wheels on the rain-covered pavement. When the Telegram arrived on scene, there were four RNC vehicles present as well as St. John’s Regional fire department and Eastern Health personnel. The driver was checked out by paramedics and taken from the scene by the RNC for further investigation.
