A man suffered multiple injuries Thursday night during a scaffold collapse in Mount Pearl Thursday night.
Reports from the scene indicate the man was apparently climbing out a second or third-storey window onto the scaffolding when it collapsed just before 6 p.m.
The man was treated on scene by Eastern Health paramedics and taken to hospital. The scaffold was just a pile of twisted metal lying on the front lawn of the Farrell Drive home as firefighters and police investigated the incident.
Neighbours stood nearby watching the scene unfold.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating the incident.
