Man suffers serious injuries in ATV accident in Torbay

A man was taken to hospital with what are believed to be serious injuries Monday afternoon following an ATV accident in Torbay.

The incident occurred about 3:30 p.m. when the ATV went into a ditch and flipped over, and its operator was thrown from the machine. The man was wearing a helmet.

The incident happened at the intersection of Rattling Brook Road and Barkwood Lane and left the ATV with extensive damage.

RNC traffic and patrol services were called to the scene to investigate.
