The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary general investigative unit is searching for Robert King, who they say is wanted in connection with an Oct. 10 armed robbery in Conception Bay South.

That day, just before 4 p.m., officers with several RNC units responded to Lawton’s Drugs on the CBS Highway in Conception Bay South.

The RNC say a lone male, armed with a weapon, entered the pharmacy and demanded prescription drugs. The man fled the area prior to police arrival with an undisclosed quantity of opioids, stimulants such as fentanyl patches and other various prescription narcotics, police say.

Investigators are looking for 30-year-old King in connection with the robbery and are asking anyone in the public who has information on his whereabouts to call police immediately. Police allege King may be carrying a weapon and the public should consider him to be armed and dangerous and not approach him.

Anyone with information on this robbery or King’s whereabouts is asked to call the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477, or provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers Website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
