The St. John’s International Airport Authority has announced that as of July 3, masks will be mandatory at all times for everyone in the terminal building. That includes passengers and airport workers.

There will also be limited access to the terminal building. It will be open to passengers and airport workers only.

Those picking up or dropping off passengers are asked to wait outside, though exceptions to both measures can be made in special circumstances.

The new measures coincide with Friday’s opening of travel between the Atlantic Provinces.

Permanent residents of those provinces will no longer be required to self-quarantine upon arrival.
