Crews from various St. John's Regional Fire Department (SJRFD) stations were dispatched to a structure fire in the Southlands area of the city today.
Upon arrival, the initial crews from the Mount Pearl fire station were met with smoke and flames contained to a garage fire on Green Acre Drive.
Firefighter's were able to quickly knock down the fire in the garage which is separated from the adjacent grey-coloured duplex.
Crews quickly had the scene contained.
Eastern Health paramedics were dispatched as a precaution but their services were not required.
Firefighters did an overhaul of the scene to make sure all fire was out.
No injuries were reported and the RNC responded as well.
