MOUNT PEARL, N.L. — Some Mount Pearl morning commuters were delayed by a moose-vehicle collision in the city on Thursday morning.
Just before 8 a.m. this morning, a vehicle traveling north on Commonwealth Avenue collided with the mammal, resulting in a cracked windshield and damage to the vehicle’s front end.
The moose made its way to a nearby wooded area after the collision. Wildlife officers were called in to euthanize the animal.
It’s not known if the driver suffered any injuries.
