A moose-vehicle collision on Pitts memorial Drive early Saturday morning sent one woman to hospital with injuries that were not considered serious.

The collision occurred at the Pitts and Robert E. Howlett interchange in the westbound lane and caused significant damage to the front end of the car.

An official on scene said the collision could have been worse had there been a passenger in the car as that area of the vehicle sustained the most damage.

The moose was killed on impact.
