One man was sent to hospital following an apparent motorcycle-vehicle encounter in the west end of St. John’s Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened on Topsail Road in front of the Dairy Queen restaurant and left the motorcyclist lying injured on the road.
It appears a car was making a left-hand turn into the restaurant parking lot in front of the oncoming bike when the crash happened.
The RNC briefly closed the road in both directions until the scene could be cleared.
The male was conscious and talking to first responders and his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
