The driver of a dual-sport motorcycle is facing a fine of at least $2,700 after being charged under the Highway Traffic Act for operating a motorcycle with no licence or insurance.
At approximately 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, RCMP traffic services west were on patrol in the town of Deer Lake. Police observed a motorcycle being driven in an uncontrolled manner on Nicholsvile Road.
The driver, a 19-year old Deer Lake man, was charged and the motorcycle was seized and impounded. In addition to the fines, the driver will be on the hook for the towing and impound fees.
