Mount Pearl man charged for assaulting woman

A 65-year-old Mount Pearl man was charged with assault and resisting arrest Wednesday night.
The RNC were called to a residence last night around 10:30 p.m. after being alerted to a disturbance from where they arrested the man.
They discovered a female victim at the scene had received minor injuries in the incident.
The man was arrested and charged and was taken to lockup and held overnight pending a court appearance Thursday morning.
The RNC responded to 204 calls for service during its 24-hour reporting period.
