Police are looking to speak to any member of the public who might have information about a stabbing in the centre of St. John’s Wednesday night.
RNC officers say they responded to a report of a stabbing in the area of Ropewalk Lane, Empire Avenue and Cordage Place around 8:30 p.m. A 40-year-old male victim was later located in the nearby Neptune Road neighbourhood, and was taken by ambulance to hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The man is still in hospital.

The RNC’s Major Crime Unit is investigating, and investigators say they have no suspects at this point, nor do they yet know whether the stabber and the victim know each other.
