There were no injuries but a transport truck had to be towed from heavy snow Friday night after it went off the Trans-Canada Highway near Butter Pot Park.

The truck was travelling through a notorious section of highway between the park and the Witless Bay Line which is prone to blowing and drifting snow.

In the past two weeks there have been no less than fifteen crashes, collisions and accidents in the short stretch of highway.

This incident happened in the eastbound lane which was closed for a time until the truck could be towed back onto the road.
