FOGO ISLAND, NL - Fogo Island RCMP are warning the public after they were advised a polar bear had been spotted near the community of Shoal Bay Tuesday evening.

Police received the report around 8:30 p.m.

The RCMP is asking anyone who sees a bear to immediately report it to police. They are also advising residents to be extremely careful should they encounter a bear.
