The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary’s patrol and dog services responded to an armed robbery in Kelligrews just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
The RNC says the man was armed with a weapon and fled on foot following the robbery.
Police also responded to an assault with a weapon in St. John’s on Saturday.
The report came in from a home on Goodridge Street and the male victim was transported to hospital to be treated for his injuries after he spoke with officers.
The investigation is ongoing in both cases.
