One man was taken to hospital following an invasion and stabbing at a home on Evergreen Drive in Paradise late Friday night.
RNC patrol units, a K-9 team and an Eastern Health ambulance responded to the home just before midnight. Police say a group of men with weapons entered the home and assaulted one of the residents. The man was able to walk to the ambulance with paramedics while police began their investigation. The victim was treated at the hospital and later released.
The K-9 team did a search of the neighbourhood as other officers checked to see if anyone living nearby had seen anything. That was followed up by the arrival of a forensic identification officer who photographed the scene inside and outside the home.
No information was available on whether a suspect had been located or if anything was taken during the incident. The police are investigating.
