Firefighters were called to Groves Road Thursday afternoon where they discovered a Jeep SUV ablaze.

They were met with the vehicle fully alight and thick black smoke issuing from the wooded area.

Police believe the burnt-out vehicle was the one used in the two recent break and entry thefts at the Arthur James Clothing outlet in Coleman’s on Newfoundland Drive.

The RNC Police Service Dog (PSD) and patrol units were quickly on the scene searching for the possible male and female suspects in the break, enter and theft investigation. Police also had the area cordoned off to vehicle and pedestrian traffic while they conducted their investigation there.
