POLL: Do Newfoundlanders like Jimmy Kimmel's obsession with Dildo?

ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — Jimmy Kimmel is coming to Dildo, N.L

There’s been a week of back and forth dialogue over video chats on Jimmy Kimmel Live and through Kimmel’s sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez — who set up shop in the town.

Residents of the town and the late-night talk show host have discussed merchandising ideas and Kimmel’s fit as a honourary mayor, which is now embedded on the internet thanks to Dildo’s Wikipedia page.

There has been an influx of tourists and locals to the town and support from the premier.

Also, a shiny new addition has been erected: a sign in the trees assembled like the Hollywood sign, only it reads Dildo.

Some residents have been buzzing with excitement to see their namesake on news stations like Breakfast Television Toronto, ABC, ET Canada and Global News, while others think Newfoundland is becoming the butt of a joke.
