There were no serious injuries Thursday night following a moose-vehicle collision on the Outer Ring Road.
The collision happened in the eastbound lane just east of the Team Gushue highway and left the front end of a pickup damaged after it struck a young moose.
The animal was killed on impact.
Traffic in the area was slowed in one lane until the scene could be cleared.
This was one of at least five known moose-vehicle accidents reported on the Avalon on Thursday with four of them happening in the metro area and one reported on the Trans-Canada highway near the Salmonier Line at about 10 p.m.
