Three area men were arrested for trafficking cocaine on November 9 as part of an ongoing RCMP investigation.
Forty-five-old Jamie Michelin and 48-year-old William Ramey, both from Happy Valley-Goose Bay, and 22-year-old Eric Rich from Sheshatshiu were arrested for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
Police seized over 100 grams of cocaine, over $7,000 in cash and other drug trafficking paraphernalia from Michelin and Ramey. Approximately 16 grams of cocaine was seized from Rich.
Michelin is scheduled to appear in court on the charges on November 15. Ramey was scheduled to appear in court today. Rich was released with a court appearance scheduled for December 12.
Ramey also has an upcoming trial on November 27 on seven charges including assault and uttering threats and another trial scheduled for December 13 for trafficking in a controlled substance.
