Holyrood, N.L. — On Monday about 4:30 p.m., Holyrood RCMP responded to a camper trailer fire on Gushue’s Pond Park Access Road, Brigus Junction.

As they arrived police found a brown/beige 27-28- ft. Avenger travel trailer parked in a pathway just off the access road that was ablaze.

Firefighters from Avondale fire department extinguished the fire. The majority of the damage was at the rear of the trailer.

The police learned the trailer had not been in that location before 3 p.m. that day.

Holyrood RCMP are working with the Office of the Fire Commissioner to determine the cause of the fire and if this incident may have been arson. The matter is under investigation.
