ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says two firearms were stolen during a recent break and enter in St. John’s.

According to the police, a Browning Shotgun and a 300 Winchester Magnum rifle, along with a Nikon Pro Staff Scope, were taken from a residence in the east end of the city.

Members of the RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) and Forensic Identification Section (FIS) responded to the report of the break and enter Friday night, with the subsequent investigation revealing there had been forced entry into the residence.

The RNC General Investigation Unit (GIU) is asking anyone who has information to call the Constabulary at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or to do so online at NL Crime Stoppers website (nlcrimestoppers.com.).
