RNC arrest man for assault in downtown St. John’s

Police say injuries not serious

At 3:20 a.m. Sunday morning, Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) officers were called downtown to a report of a disturbance, according to an RNC media report.

After investigating, police arrested a 20-year-old man for assault. He was held for court in the morning. 

“Injuries were not of a serious nature,” reads the report.

The investigation is continuing.
