The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating a robbery at a centre city business in St. John’s from Sunday afternoon.
They were called to the location at 4:50 p.m. after they were alerted of the robbery.
There was no one injured during the robbery and the extent of what was taken and who is responsible is still under investigation.
On Sunday evening, the RNC arrested a 45-year-old man for being intoxicated and causing a disturbance in the downtown area.
The man was taken into custody around 9:30 p.m., was found to be in breach of a court order and taken to lockup overnight so he could appear in a St. John’s court on Monday.
In addition, the RNC was called to a group home in Conception Bay South on Sunday night around 7:30 p.m. to investigate threats that were being made at the location.
As a result, they took a female youth into custody and charged her with a breach of undertaking, damage to property and uttering threats.
She was taken to the St John’s Youth Remand Centre and will appear in court Monday morning.
These were several of the 164 class for service the RNC made during its 24-hour reporting period Sunday.
