The RNC’s major crime unit is investigating a shooting which occurred in Mount Pearl in the early hours of this morning.
About 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, RNC officers responded to reports that there had been shots fired toward a residence in the Lidstone Crescent area of Mount Pearl.
On arrival officers confirmed that a vehicle on the property, as well as the home itself, had been subject to gun fire. A vehicle had reportedly sped away from the area following the incident.
There were no injuries sustained to any occupants of the home.
Investigators have reason to believe that this was not a random act.
