Royal Newfoundland Constabulary patrol officers charged a 26-year-old man with flight from police after not stopping for police early Wednesday morning.

RNC attempted to stop the vehicle on Elizabeth Avenue around 1:40 a.m., but did not pursue when the driver refused to stop. The suspect was spotted on Freshwater road about 50 minutes later, at which time the RNC was able to execute the traffic stop.

The accused, released for a court appearance at a later date, was also issued a ticket for driving without a license.
