St. John’s, N.L. — Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery of a woman’s vehicle this afternoon.
At around 1 p.m., a male with an undisclosed weapon tried to take control of a woman’s car in the parking garage at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital.
When he was unsuccessful, he ran away before officers arrived. The woman was not injured.
RNC patrol services division, criminal investigation division, police dog services and forensic investigation services were all responded and arrived on the scene.
RNC’s major crime investigators have identified a suspect and are continuing to look for him. They’re interested in speaking with any witnesses.
