The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) general investigation unit is seeking public help to solve a Sunday afternoon armed robbery in St. John’s.

Shortly before 2 p.m., RNC operational patrol services division responded to a business on Hamilton Avenue after getting a call about an armed robbery. A man had entered the business with a knife and demanded money, police say. Before the police got there, the man fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.The suspect is a man, described to be five feet and eight or nine inches tall, with an average build and some facial hair. He was wearing a dark hooded sweater and sunglasses at the time of the robbery.
