A driver with more than $16,000 fines will appear before a provincial court judge this morning.
When Royal Newfoundland Constabulary officers executed a traffic safety stop on a vehicle in the west end of St. John’s Wednesday night, they discovered that in addition to the outstanding fines the 30-year-old male driver was driving without a valid license and the vehicle was not properly insured.
The vehicle was seized and the driver picked up two additional fines.
