ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — A man with over $25,000 in outstanding fines under the Highway Traffic Act picked up a few more and a court date on Monday night.

The 47-year-old was stopped on Topsail Road in St. John’s. Upon investigation, police determined he had no license, was driving while suspended and had failed to transfer ownership of the vehicle and that the vehicle’s registration was expired.

The vehicle was impounded and the man released for a court appearance later.
