RNC warns business community of counterfeit U.S. currency

Businesses in and around St. John’s should be on the lookout for counterfeit American $20 bills, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says.

The police force is investigating several incidents relating to the fake currency. The bills in question have the serial number JB28762393A.

Anyone with information that could help in the RNC’s ongoing investigation is asked to call 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8577. Information can be provided anonymously online at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
